Advance Adapters 50-0217 Features:
- The GM NV 4500 adapter to the GM NP205 is 6.375 in. in length. And the overall length of this transmission and adapter is 19.250 in.. Adapter material is 356 T6 heat treated aluminum alloy. The adapter has a provision for a transmission mount. The adapter kit includes an adapter housing, adapter plate, transfer case linkage mounting bracket, transmission mount spacer, coupler, sealed bearing, 2 piece set collar, NP205 front gasket, seal, fastening hardware, and adapter instructions.
- Transfer Case
- The adapter assembly fits 1971-1984/85 GM NP205 transfer case. The NP205 transfer case must be equipped with a 10 spline male input. Previously used with the manual 4 speed, SM465. The front bolt pattern is a figure eight configuration.
- Transmission
- This adapter is designed for exclusive use with the GM NV4500 4WD models. Several adapter kits require you to shorten the existing transmission main shaft while it is still in the transmission case. This is common when a 4WD GM NV4500 is being used. Each instruction sheet gives the exact cut off location.
