Lowering Kit
There are multiple reasons for lowering a car or truck. First, lowering transforms the look of your vehicle, giving it a "sporty" or racing stance. This reduces the amount of visible space seen in the wheel wells and under the rockers. In addition, handling is improved, as the vehicle center of gravity is lowered and spring rate (if a part of the lower kit) is usually increased, creating a firmer ride. Vehicles, such as pickup trucks, can be lowered to make entering and exiting easier as well. To make lowering possible, components are swapped out, such as spindles, coil springs, leaf springs, leaf spring shackles, and others, including a key for lowering torsion bars.
When choosing a lowering kit, first confirm the year, make, and model of your vehicle. Next, from the remaining options, selection the kit that matches the amount you want to lower the vehicle as well as your budget.
JEGS offers a large lowering kit selection from the best manufacturers in the aftermarket such as Belltech lowering kits, BMR Suspension, Ridetech, Ford Performance, JEGS, and others.
