How To Install The Holley Sniper EFI Autolite One Barrel Kit

The following is a summary of the main installation steps for converting a one-barrel carburetor to the Holley Sniper single barrel EFI kit:

  • Install an electric fuel pump (ideally an in-tank pump) capable of operating at 60 psi as well as an EFI fuel filter. All lines connected between it and the throttle body need to be able to handle the high pressure.
  • Remove the carburetor.
  • Bolt the new Sniper EFI throttle body in place of the carburetor with the correct mounting gasket. Reconnect the throttle linkage and any vacuum lines.
  • Install the oxygen sensor and coolant temperature sensor.
  • Connect the fuel feed and return lines.
  • Attach all wiring harnesses connecting the throttle body ECU to the required components such as the battery, ignition switch, ignition coil, tachometer, O2 and temperature sensors, and control screen.
  • If timing control will be used for your application by the Sniper EFI system, the distributor will need to be modified and then connected to the ECU wiring harness.
  • turn on the controller touch-screen and follow the prompts for calibration and setup.
  • start the engine and check for any coolant or fuel leaks as well as monitor oil pressure and coolant temperature.
