Does this distributor have a tack signal like a HEI? I only see 2 wires on it and no instructions anywhere.

    Asked by: sppb32
No, this is a magnetic pickup.

Will this distributor with that side box clear the firewall in a 55 chevy with the V8 in stock location?

    Asked by: jerry 25
It will be very close and will also depend on the motor mounts being used.

How is mechanical advance adjusted on this distributor. There are no weights or springs to adjust. Thanks.

    Asked by: Trgrhpy
You will need to disassemble the top plate to get to the springs and weights, then you can adjust the advance.

The distributor and be installed in any oerentqain on the engine. You just have to make sure that the cap is on cylinder #1 when the engine is at TDC.
