GM LS Engine Swap
10164049 Features:
Roto-fab LS engine swap custom aluminum Engine Cover for LS3 motors conceal coil packs and unsightly wiring harnesses while provided a blank slate to add your choice of custom paint. Our Engine Cover are hand fabricated using 1/8 inch 5052 aluminum. Each LS swap cover has four mounting points which are fixture located and TIG welded rigid to the cover. We supply rubber isolators which install on the mounting brackets as well as ball studs which install in unused threaded bosses on your stock valve covers. After the initial installation of the included ball studs, the covers go on and off without the use of tools.
While our LS swap custom Engine Cover can be used with a variety of custom LS2 or LS3 swap projects, it's impossible to foresee clearance considerations on all your engine dress configuration. Therefore, trimming may be required to clear some components. When doing so, all four mounting points on the cover must remain. At least 5/8 inch clearance is required on all wiring and fuel lines mounted rigid to the motor. For components mounted to the motor and the chassis, you must provide adequate clearance to prevent contact during motor rock. Thoroughly deburr all edges to eliminate sharp areas which could cut into a wiring harness or fuel line.
Please note the covers will have a larger gap between the plenum and cover edge on LS2 applications. Be sure to check out our Plenum Cover and billet Oil Cap designed to be used with your Roto-fab LS swap Engine Cover!
For fifth gen SS Camaros, 2014-17 SS sedans and 2008-9 Pontiac G8 GT we offer Engine Cover customized to clear OEM components on your car. Search by your vehicle specs to ensure proper engine cover choice.
