JEGS 555-631802 GM 10 & 12 Bolt Rear Disc Brake Conversion Kit
The JEGS 631802 rear disc brake conversion kit has everything you need to convert the rear drum brakes to a disc brake system on a 1955-1968 Full-Size GM Car. This Kit will add modern safety to your classic car, drastically improve the stopping distance, and gain your confidence while driving. This upgrade is intended for street-driven vehicles while maintaining the emergency brake and utilizing some stock components.

- (2) Hubless 10 Hole, 11 in. Drilled & Slotted Rotors (Dual Lug Pattern: 5 x 4.500 in. and 5 x 4.750 in.)
- (1 Set) Large GM Red Powder Coated Calipers w/Self Adjusting E-Brake and D54 Pads (1979 Cadillac El Dorado)
- (2) Caliper Brackets & Spacers
- (2) 10 mm Rubber Brake Hoses
- (2) 10 mm Banjo Bolts
- (4) 10 mm Copper Washers
- (6) 3/8 -24 x 50 Bolts
- (6) 3/8 -24 Lock Nuts

JEGS 555-631802 GM 10 & 12 Bolt Rear Disc Brake Conversion Kit Notes:
- Does not fit axles with a 3 1/8 in. flange bolt pattern [center-to-center spread of the flange's top two bolt holes]
- Does not fit S-10 Chassis or truck frames
- Maximum diameter of 6.110 in. to fit rotor hat.
- Rotor Center = 2 3/4 in. - Rotor Hat Section Inside Diameter = 6 3/16 in.
- You will need to modify your axles if they will not fit inside the rotor hat and you will need to modify the rotor if the center hole is too small for your axles.
- 0.050 x 45 Degree Chamfer
- 2.786 in. max register axle
- The installation of disc brakes will require the use of 15 in. wheels
- This brake conversion kit will not work with 14 in. wheels
- Does Not Fit S-10 Chassis or Truck Frames
- This kit Requires a disc/disc proportioning valve. We recommend JEGS 555-63025 sold separately.
- We recommend a 1.125 in. large bore master cylinder when adding disc brakes. We recommend JEGS 555-631200 sold separately.
Emergency Brake Note: The emergency brake cables provided in the kit will fit the 1955-1964 Full-Size Chevrolet. Any other application will require the customer to modify the included cables to work with their application. The intermediate cable, center-pull, and cable couplers may not be necessary on 1958-1964 cars.
