Rated 4 out of 5 by from Electric Cutouts The cutouts alone work amazing, was suprised with the way they functioned, especially for the price. They were extremely easy to wire and install. The ONLY problem I ran into was that both cutouts were designed to fit the same way as each other. My left side cutouts motor is facing toward the outside while my passengers side cutout is facing toward the transmission (It would hit my floor board if I faced it outside) To solve my problem I had to flip one cutout and install it the wrong way. But as in the overall performance of the cutouts, I love them. Had them for about a month and they are holding up fairly well with no leaks

Rated 4 out of 5 by from good So far I am happy. I bought these mostly to make myself smile and laugh at regular folks reactions. They fit just fine after I manipulated the rest of my exhaust so that the motors had adequate clearance.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Works great but had install issues I bought these and have them working now and love them. Nice actuators and harness with nice switch with plenty of wiring. The biggest issue was the low quality terminals and plastic connector housings. Based off a GM weather pack connector the male terminals spread and bent after one successful connection for bench testing. then wouldn't plug in afterward. To fix this problem I put painless wiring male terminals and female terminals in the connectors but soon found that the plastic connector cavities didn't hold the terminals straight so they wouldn't engage as they were plugged in. I had a 2 cavity connector and installed it on male and female sides and now that side plugs in easily and correctly. I would recommend buying a painless wiring 2 cavity connector kit. And doing these repairs before installation. I had everything mounted and wired and they wouldn't plug in. I didn't have my terminal removal, crimp tools and the extra painless wiring terminals at home. And fought these terminals on the ground and finally back in the lift. To get it resolved and installed.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Quality product Easy to install when you already have the muffler cutouts. However, for a dual exhaust system, there ara no left & right electric cutouts. The cutout motor location is towards one side of the mufflers, so they do not look symmetrical and one of the cleanup orifice had to be plugged to avoid an exhaust leak when closed. The manufacturer needs to provide a left and right motor for double motor setup!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from for the price I expected them to seal nicely bought these knowing you get what you pay for, came in and the quality seemed pretty great! solid product. get them installed and wiring ran nicely and they work smoothly only issue I have is in the closed position I can still hear the exhaust leak unless I hold the switch down and motor holds flaps down tight. Gets really annoying and have seen ebay cutouts seal up better. but the quality is great so far from these(been on for about 1000 miles now)

I had one of the motors break off and become unusable, is there anyway to just order the electric motors and gears?

    Asked by: Matt1821
The motor and gears are not available separately, you would need to order 555-30882 as a replacement. These have a one year warranty, so if it hasn't been that long definitely call customer service to see about replacing the part under warranty.
