JEGS 555-16800 Bandit Series EFI Throttle Body System Quality Control Process:
- Each JEGS Bandit fuel injection system goes through a quality control process on a test engine that simulates the operation of a vehicle. The ECU and all components included with each unit never separate throughout the testing process.
- We evaluate the complete system to ensure everything is operating properly with these tests:
- Wiring harness continuity
- The fuel system is brought up to 58 LBS of fuel pressure to ensure there are no fuel leaks
- The engine is started and the ECU is checked to verify it’s communicating with the rest of the system. While the system is learning, the air-fuel ratios are verified to make sure they are in operational range as well as all sensors are functioning normally
- The manual idle setting is adjusted
- Once testing is completed the engine is shut down and the EFI system is carefully removed keeping the main wire harness attached to the throttle body and never separated
- This quality control process is performed to ensure you are getting the best product money can buy
JEGS 555-16800 Bandit Series EFI Throttle Body System Notes
- Cannot be used with Leaded or E-85 fuel.
- This system will not work with the following race-oriented ignition systems:
- MSD Digital 7AL
- MSD Digital 7AL-2
- MSD Digital 7AL-3
- MSD Digital 8-Plus
- All low-pressure fuel hoses, fittings, and clamps must be replaced with EFI-rated components capable of a minimum of 58 psi.
- This kit does not include the fuel pump, fuel pressure regulator, or fuel lines. The vehicle's fuel system must be capable of ensuring the proper fuel supply, 58 psi, required by the EFI system

FAQ
Is a throttle body better than a carburetor?
- When it comes to achieving optimal performance and efficiency, the Bandit Series EFI Throttle Body System from JEGS takes the lead. Unlike carburetors, which rely on mechanical processes to deliver fuel, this advanced EFI system utilizes electronic fuel injection for precise fuel delivery, resulting in improved throttle response, increased horsepower, and enhanced fuel economy.
Will the JEGS Bandit fit my intake?
- The JEGS Bandit Series EFI Throttle Body System is engineered to seamlessly integrate with most standard square-flange intake manifolds, making it a versatile choice for various engine setups. With its adaptable design and included mounting hardware, the Bandit ensures easy installation and compatibility with a wide range of applications, giving you the performance edge you need.
Do I need to install an oxygen sensor when converting to a throttle body?
- Yes, the JEGS Bandit Series EFI Throttle Body System includes everything you need for a comprehensive upgrade, including an oxygen sensor. This critical component plays a crucial role in the EFI system's operation by monitoring exhaust gas composition and providing real-time feedback to the ECU. With the included ECU and handheld controller, along with the necessary sensors, installation is simplified, ensuring a smooth transition to electronic fuel injection without any guesswork.
Specifications:
I currently have a quadrajet with a shaker. Any info on the height of the system compared to the quadrajet so I can know if it will work with the shaker still lining up with the hood both in height and placement.
I see that this requires a return line, but I was wondering what the recommended fuel line size is. I would like to use the stock metal lines on my 75 Chevy with a 350, and only use the upgraded rubber lines where required.
I own a 77 chrysler new yorker with a 400 engine. Would this system work on my car?
Can I run this on a turbo charged engine?
would this work with a 1993 chevy suburban k2500 with a 454 7.4 v8 ?
I want to install this on a 350 vortec marine motor in my boat, will this work?
Will this work on a 5.3 ls with a msd 6014ls ignition controller
Does this come with everything needed for installation
