Rated 5 out of 5 by from Edelbrock Carb I bought this to replace a Holley Street Avenger that was getting about 10 MPG even after jetting for altitude and would not idle well. Jetted the Edelbrock for altitude (I live at 4700 feet) using the jetting kit and went to 19MPG and idles very good. On a Chevy 355 SB with a pretty aggressive cam. Runs better than the Holley did.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Works great on 1967 Chev 396. Very little adjustments needed once installed. Does not come with nipple for power brake vacuum line, just a plug. Does not come with large vinyl vacuum plug for front of carb. Carb is for a square bore intake. I was surprised how many Edelbrock intakes have a spread bore and their carbs are square bore. If you have a spread bore you will need an adapter plate which raises carb about an inch. On the Edelbrock adapter plate I purchased, one of the stud holes was drilled off vertical. Required a little hammer tapping to get the stud vertical so carb could go onto the studs. Depending on your intake and vehicle you may have clearance problems.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great product I purchased this about a month ago, very pleased that I did. Replaced the Holley that was original to the motor and had a manual choke and replaced with the Edelbrock 1806 Thunder Series 650, electric choke and have had no problems idle flux or response. Install was straight forward which made ease of this project.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I should have bought it years ago! The Thunder Series AVS is a great carburetor that runs right out of the box. It has easy cold engine/weather starts. I miade a small adjustment to the AVS, and even that wouldn't have been needed. I like the smooth idle and great throttle response.

Will this work with a performer 2116 intake manifold, without the adapter and just one gasket?

    Asked by: F100
The Edelbrock 350-1806 carb will require an adapter for a 2116 intake.

I have a 650 Edelbrock carburetor that is 16 years plus. Just need to know if I should rebuild or buy a new one?

    Asked by: Riverman
You will need to take your current carb apart and inspect it, mainly check the butterfly shaft to see if they have tons of play to the front and rear . Depending on if they are wore out and on your knowledge and capabilities it may just be cheaper and easier to but a new carb.
