Are these cams drop in ready to go, would I need to measure valve to piston clearance and need an adjustable cam gear?

Asked by: Joshua
The Comp 249-113300 cam will drop in. Clearances should always be checked when installing a new cam.

Does this make it sound like it has a cam? As in the camed v8 noise(lumpy idle) but on a 4 cylinder.

Asked by: Sterling
Comp cams 249-113300 may give it a lumpy idle depending on how they are degreed on install and depending on tune

Can I replace my cams with these directly? Will I need to replace my current valve springs & rockers, or can i run stock ones. I'd hate to run into coil binding, but I'd love these to be plug and play.

Asked by: EcoRekd
You should not need to change anything with these cam, but you will always want to check for coil bind and piston to valve clearance when installing new camshafts.
