    1724 is rated 4.8 out of 5 by 5.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great upgrade on XJ I installed this on a 1998 Jeep Cherokee Sport in addition to a K&N cold air intake and 6-hole fuel injectors. The three upgrade together make a very good difference not only in overall power and responsiveness but a very noticeable improvement in low end throttle response.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great "bolt on" upgrade Bought as part of entire air flow mod, including CAI and exhaust, so can't say exactly what hp, mileage or other benefit is from the BBK alone. However, it was a 20 minute install with excellent directions and design and manufacturing are nice quality. BTW, I'm a mechanical engineer with 20+ years of casting and machining design experience in aerospace and power industry, so I have some small bit of expertise in assemblies like this.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Bolt on easy Needed to replace the throttle body due to a vacuum leak at the shaft. Jeep discontinued the original part. You guys saved my bacon.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Billed as direct replacement... This item was shown as a direct replacement for my 2003 Jeep WJ, but I had to make 2 modifications for it to work. 1) I had to trim the throttle set screw because it was too long and was hitting to intake manifold. If you run a throttle body spacer- this will not be an issue for you. 2) the tab end of the throttle shaft where the throttle position sensor (TPS) rests was too long and was causing the sensor to bind up and not allow the throttle shaft and plates to return to idle (this also damaged my TPS which required replacing). To solve this I had to fabricate a 2mm aluminum shim to keep the TPS from binding. Otherwise, the unit works fine even though the idle air passageway does make a lot of noise on cold start up. The air hissing through it almost sounds like a bad bearing on one of the serpentine belt pulleys.
