American Autowire 500997 Hi-Torque Starter Bypass Wire should be used when adding an upgraded 12 V ignition or hi-torque/1-post starter to a pre-1967 vehicle application. This bypass wire kit prevents ignition coil power from being sent to the starter while the engine is running.
