Advance Adapters 712512 Features:
- This adapter plate assembly is used to adapt a GM / Buick Engine to the Jeep T-18 4 speed manual transmission. The adapter plate is .500” in length and is manufactured from 356-T6 heat treated aluminum alloy. Included in the adapter plate kit you will receive an adapter plate, new input shaft with 17 tooth on the cluster side, 4.686” bearing retainer, pilot bushing, seal, fastening hardware, and adapter instructions.
- Note: The input shaft included only fits cluster gears with 17 teeth.
- Note: With our adapter plates, we utilize a new front bearing retainer to obtain proper bell housing alignment. Chevy adapter plates we use a small index of 4.686”, if your bell housing utilizes the larger 5.125 index diameter you will also require PN716078 .
- Transmission
- The T-18 is a heavy duty four speed with unsynchronized first gear. These transmissions were manufactured by Borg Warner and they have a cast iron case. The casting number on the drivers side of the T-18 is T-18 or 13-01. The T-18 has a 1 1/16 in. 10 spline input shaft and a 1 3/8 in. 6 spline output.
