- Desulfation: - Features an automated desulfation mode effective for recovering and fixing a sulfated battery through the use of Auto Meter's patented Digital Pulse Load " DPL".
- Bulk Charging: - BEX chargers put the bulk charge back into the battery so it can move on to absorption and maintenance modes. BEX series charges do not force current into the battery, the charger makes available a limited amount of charge current to the battery based on its acceptance
- Absorption: - Once bulk charging has finished, the battery itself determines how much charge current it needs to accept through the use of our exclusive "smart" microprocessors. This method provides one of the safest and most effective slow-low charging current available on the market today.
- Maintain: - Maintains battery health by monitoring "state of health" and acts accordingly to bring up the charge if needed. The BEX units utilize Auto Meter's award winning technology to automatically keep your battery in the best possible condition and extend its lifespan. Indicator Lights:
- AMBER (Desulfation) - The battery extender is in desulfation mode
- RED (Charging) - The battery extender is charging the battery
